她说:"欢迎加入我们团队(Welcome to our team)!你今天先熟悉环境(get familiar with the environment),明天开始正式工作(start working officially)。"
相比之下,有些"福报"公司/血汗工厂(so-called "blessing" companies / grind factories / toxic workplaces)则完全不同:严格的996工作制(work from 9am to 9pm, six days a week, with zero overtime pay)。
下午,IT部门(IT department)的人来给你配置电脑(set up computer)。 IT姐姐说:"别紧张,慢慢来(take your time),有问题随时找我。"
Describe your first day at work. You should say: Where you worked, What your job was, What happened on your first day, And explain how you felt about it.
0:00 / --:--Where you worked: I'd like to talk about my first day at work at a marketing company in the city center. It was a modern office area with an open office layout, complete with meeting rooms, a pantry, and all the facilities you'd expect in a professional work environment.
What your job was: I was hired as a junior analyst, and my job responsibilities included data analysis for various work projects. My direct supervisor explained that I would be responsible for analyzing market trends and supporting the team with research tasks. The department manager said "Welcome to our team" and emphasized that work efficiency and teamwork were highly valued in our company.
What happened on your first day: I arrived early and went through check in at the reception desk, where I received a visitor badge. The HR department gave me a detailed tour of the office area, showing me the open office layout with individual workstations, various conference rooms, and the pantry equipped with a coffee machine, microwave, and refrigerator. During orientation training, they provided detailed information about employee benefits and company policies. I discovered that different companies vary greatly:
Dream companies offer excellent benefits: besides the basic nine-to-five schedule, there's also flexible working hours, overtime pay calculated at 1.5 times the regular rate, or compensatory time off options. The company provides free shuttle service, reimburses taxi fare after 9 PM, and has a gym, library, and break rooms. The company also has a cafeteria and monthly meal allowance. The company also pays social insurance and housing fund. We get 20 days of annual leave, sick leave requires medical certificates, but the company also provides paid sick leave and health insurance. There are monthly team building activities and birthday benefits.
In contrast, some so-called "blessing" companies / grind factories / toxic workplaces are completely different: strict work from 9am to 9pm, six days a week, with zero overtime pay. Annual leave is hard to get, sick leave requires various proofs and may result in getting a pay cut. No extra benefits, even the pantry is basic, let alone a gym.
Additionally, there's a significant difference in employment type Full-time employees enjoy comprehensive employee benefits, including social insurance, year-end bonus, stock options, professional training, and enterprise annuity. However, contractors / outsourced workers typically only receive basic salary with no benefit coverage, poor job security, limited contract duration, and no promotion opportunities.
Fortunately, I joined the former type as a full-time employee. The IT department setup was very professional: they prepared a high-spec computer for me, including dual monitors, a mechanical keyboard, and an ergonomic chair. The IT colleagues taught me the company systems in detail, including email, internal communication software, project management tools, attendance system, and expense reimbursement system. They also installed necessary office software and security software, set up VPN access, and explained data security and password policies.
How you felt about it: The work experience gave me a comprehensive understanding of this job opportunity. From the well-organized office environment to the detailed company regulations, from friendly colleague relationships to clear work procedures, everything was systematic and professional. This position provides an excellent platform for my career development, and I appreciate how thoroughly they explained everything from the working hours to the various policies and benefits.

Today is my 第一天上班, so I put on my 正装 and arrived early. At the 前台, I had to 报到 and received a 访客牌. The 人事部 representative showed me around the 办公区 and explained our 工作环境.
Our company has an 开放式办公室 layout with individual 工位, several 会议室, a 茶水间 with 咖啡机, 微波炉, and 冰箱, plus 洗手间 facilities. My 直属上司, who is also the 部门经理, said "欢迎加入我们团队" and told me I should 熟悉环境 today before I 正式工作 tomorrow.
During 入职培训, the 培训师 explained our 公司文化, 工作流程, and various 公司政策. I discovered that different companies vary greatly:
神仙公司 offer excellent benefits: besides the basic 朝九晚五 schedule, there's also 弹性工作时间, 加班费 calculated at 1.5 times the regular rate, or 调休 options. The company provides 免费班车, 报销打车费 after 9 PM, and has a 健身房, 图书馆, and 休息室. The company also has a 食堂 and monthly 餐补. The company also 缴纳五险一金. We get 20 days of 年假, 病假 requires 医生证明, but the company also provides 带薪病假 and 医疗保险. There are monthly 团建活动 and 生日福利.
In contrast, some "福报"公司 are completely different: strict 996工作制. 年假 is hard to get, 病假 requires various proofs and may result in 扣工资. No extra benefits, even the 茶水间 is basic, let alone a gym.
Additionally, there's a significant difference in 雇佣类型: 正式员工 enjoy comprehensive 员工福利, including 社会保险, 年终奖, 股票期权, and 职业培训. However, 外包工 typically only receive 基本工资 with no 福利保障, poor 工作稳定性, limited 合同期限, and no 晋升机会.
Fortunately, I joined the former type as a full-time employee.
The IT部门 setup was very professional: they prepared a 高配置电脑 for me, including 双显示器, a 机械键盘, and an 人体工学椅. The IT colleagues taught me the 公司系统 in detail, including 邮箱, 内部通讯软件, 项目管理工具, 考勤系统, and 报销系统. They also installed necessary 办公软件 and 安全软件, set up VPN访问权限, and explained 数据安全 and 密码政策. I felt 手忙脚乱, but they told me to 慢慢来.
This 工作体验 gave me a comprehensive understanding of the 办公环境, 公司制度, 同事关系, and 工作流程. This 职位 provides an excellent platform for my 职业发展.
